You approach the strange man and he seems ready for you. He puts away his notebook with little notice as if he is hiding something.
"Who are you?" the man asks.
"I am just a lost sailor," you reply in flawed Russian.
He takes a look at you and then beckons you to leave with him. You follow him out of the saloon and down a corridor to an alley. He then turns around and stares at you for a while. He shows you a KGB document with his identity and proceeds to search you. He can reach toward your back pocket which has your American papers. Should you try to hide that?
