You forget about the man under you as you quickly turn to the maid. "No it isn't like that! I mean we didn't..."
The maid giggles at your frantic attempt to convince her of your innocence and simply replies "Don't worry about it, you're newlyweds after all" with a huge smile. She leaves looking happy. You have a feeling everyone will know about this in less than an hour.
You sit there stupefied for a while. The man takes advantage of the opportunity to take the dagger you were still holding to his throat. You look over at him and suddenly realization dawns on you - if that maid called you newlyweds then this guy must be... Lord Ruairi. You are horrified at the thought of introducing yourself to your future husband with a knife to his throat!
Ruairi laughs silently and lies you down on the bed. By the time you realize what's happening, he has you in the same position you had him before. He's holding your own dagger lightly to your throat with a playful look in his eyes.

Close your eyes and try to sleep, surely all this must be a dream
