You take a seat on one of the available areas in the space trolley and strap in. A massive elevator door finally closes down once everyone has boarded, and you begin the long ascent out of the atmosphere. Shuttles are normally faster than this, you muse, but the whole "space elevator" idea was more of one of those romantic ideas that uniting world leaders had about "building towards the future". After finally making it to the SS Earth-3, you board the nearest point of light and get ready to travel to Charon-1.
Before that however, you decide to grab a bite to eat. The POLs take a while to charge up anyway, and it looks like you have an hour free to yourself.
