You bring up your rifle, leveling it at the cops. But before you get a shot off, you are struck by a hail of bullets. You bleed out on the sidewalk, your 'friends' refusing to pull you back inside, and the ambulances too afraid of the two still active gunmen inside.
The police had their guns trained on you the moment you came out the door. Of course they'd kill you quicker than you could bring up your gun.
