Leave Flack on the steps

You left Flack out on the step. The police were coming up the step when Flack reached for his back-up pistol strapped to his ankle. Before he could get a shot off, one of the cops shot him in the head. He went limp, and stopped moving, letting go of both his gun and the bag of money.
"Get back!" Daniel shouted at the police. "We got hostages!" He turned to you. "Grab one of those people back there, we've got to make an example of one of them."
"You mean kill one of them?" Monica asked.
"If we have to..." Daniel said, trying to not think about it too much.
