Debra has always been your favorite. She is cheerful and friendly and hardly has a bad mood. Coincidentally, she also is the most affectionate of the three and often spends time with you.
Debra happily agrees to accompany you on a tour through the ship. You are browsing through several shops, and by some impulse, Debra buys two identical orange plastic bracelets for you and herself. It is more than a nice gesture, and you love your daughter for that. If only she would be on better footing with Will, whom she teases much more often than Kirsten. You don't know why on the rare occasions when she is moody, she takes it out on Will. You asked her once why she doesn't get along with her brother, but Debra denied that something was amiss.
Whilst on your way to the food court to have a soft drink, you come across a poster advertising one of the events for this evening: a costume party. There are several event areas on the ship so that there would be something for everybody's taste. Today's event in the main arena is a costume party, and the ship provides a costume rental. Debra is absolutely on fire the moment she notices the poster.
"Come on, mum, we have to go to the costume party."
"Oh, I don't know, Sweetie." You don't like dressing up in costumes much; it is just too much work. It has been ages since you last did. But Debra doesn't let up and tries to convince you to go with her to the costume party. In the end, you not only promise Debra to attend the party, but also to go in matching costumes. Debra's eyes gleam with anticipation. She can't wait to get the costumes, and her anticipation is contagious. To your own surprise, you are looking forward to the event. Truth be told, it has been a very long time since you went to any party.
Debra divides the crowd to get to the costume rental shop like Moses divided the Red Sea to reach Egypt. The shop is surprisingly large, and even more surprisingly, has not only a large variety of costumes available for rent, but also sells applications and accessories to enhance the looks of the costumes. They also have body paint in stock, from The Incredible Hulk green to Mystique blue, and even metallic tones are available.
You let Debra take the initative in choosing the costumes. She takes her time and narrows it down to three choices: Slimer from the Ghostbusters, Spiderman, and The Bride from Kill Bill. Which one will you try on first?
