D&D: Female Elven Fighter
From Create Your Own Story
As a natural in physical battle, you are built tougher than most of your kin, though with a toned body you use your agility and flexibility to your advantage in a straight fight rather than focusing on strength. Though you may not be able to take the fullest advantage of a social gathering, your actions speak a great deal louder than your words, often catching people by surprise at the sheer dexterity you possess. Your abilities are renowned, and your blade is feared, though you have not passed your name as a fighter beyond your current district. Perhaps in time you'll be considered on a much wider scale.
You wake up under a wool blanket. Your home is hardly cared for as you spend such little time there, all that you have is your leather, a blade, a decent wrap of dried meat for the nights you'd rather not go out, and a bed of blankets you've collected over a few months with your latest practice. Sitting up in your bare body, the day is young as the sun draws higher behind several buildings. Your home is dark to most, but your superior eyes allow you to see absolutely fine in the shade.
Rolling off of your bed, you dress for your day, certainly you are not modest or impressive in the leather straps over a deer fur chest piece, but even without a proper attention to your hair or face you have a natural beauty with your inherited narrow features, something to thank your parents for. You fit your bracers and place your sheathe along your back. One could look at you and easily underestimate your prowess, something useful to you as you take others by surprise. Walking to the door and swinging it open, you allow your eyes to adjust to the light of the sun as you consider your actions for the day.
You could enter the general funding for yourself, a battle ring where anyone hoping for a few coins can enter and fight whoever else decides they want a cheap amount of coin or thrill.
You could take up a patrol. Though vigilantes might not be as appreciated as they should be, adventurers like yourself are well understood to be attracted to such an activity.
Or perhaps you could travel outside the gates and see about the rumors of Kobolds to the east. It is said that a group of them have gathered and traveled from the Ardeep Forest to the outskirts of Waterdeep. They seem to be led by a peculiar robed kin of their own, but few details are given regarding him.
