"Didn't you hear? Kelsey Shawsen slept with Mr. Tanner. I don't know why she'd do that; he's like twice her age. Maybe that's why she's head cheerleader," you tell the girl next to you in homeroom.

She gives you a look that's a mix disbelief and surprise. She whispers to the boy next to her. "I knew it." he says, a little bit too loudly. The people next to him ask what he was talking about, and he leans over to recite what he heard. Bingo.

You've barley begun, and your rumor's already spreading like wild fire. Within an hour, Kelsey Shawsen's name was on everyone's lips, though not the way she'd prefer. Man, you're good.

Wherever Kelsey went, people went silent and threw her dirty looks. Even Mrs. Black, the old calculus teacher, and that lady was nice to everyone. You heard from your friend on the cheer team that they're kicking her off. It wasn't because they believed the rumors. It was because she was giving them bad publicity. Mission accomplished.

It's not even lunch yet, and you've already destroyed a girl's social life. With Kelsey out of the picture you can finally hit on Toby. You head for the cafeteria, intent on wooing Toby Matthews. Though, you stop when you hear crying from the unisex restroom (the school had to install it when the transgender student from Canada transferred and their parents threatened to sue). Nobody usually uses it, and it's pretty clean so it's probably the best place in the school to cry if you had to. It sounds like Kelsey. No... it is Kelsey.
