You reach out, trying to catch the ball. It bounces off your outstretched hand, hard. Annabelle looks up from her beer and catches the baseball neatly with one hand, the other still holding her beverage. The spectators in the vicinity applaud.
"Hey, faggot," says a voice. You turn. Three thuggish-looking guys are standing there. The biggest one, the ringleader, speaks again, sneering at you. "Man, you must be some kind of pussy, needing a girl to catch a ball for you. Does your mommy do that for you too?" He high-fives his buddies. All three of them are laughing, but worse, some of the other fans are beginning to snicker too.
The big thug turns to Annabelle. "Hey, baby. Why are you wasting your time with a cocksucking loser like him? Why don't you get with me, baby? I'll show you what a real man can do."
You look at Annabelle, but she says nothing, simply sitting there with an unreadable expression on her pretty face.
