Persistent as she was, Serenity chose to keep going. There had to be something there if she kept going deeper down the dark path. Imagining the lovely lake that awaited her if she just keeps pushing made Serenity more determined. But not even bird tweets were to be heard in this place, has she already gone too deep?
20 minutes passed with nothing but more forest, more dark and lifeless forest. Serenity was frustrated and was close to screaming out HELP. She was defiantly lost and had no idea of what way she came through. Sitting against a tree to help clear her mind, something caught Serenity's attention. Something wet, splashing off in the far distance. Could it be?
Standing back onto her heels, Serenity lightly ran towards the noise; pushing branches and leafs out of the way. To her surprise as her heart sank, it was it! The lake, it was more beautiful than she'd imagine. Light from the sky pierced through the green foliage highlighting the water itself giving off a clear reflection. Serenity nearly sheds a tear to how amazing it looks. The waterfall was also bigger than she imagined, falling water hits the calm liquid below rippling the surface distorting the image it gave. Serenity knew she made the right choice, and look where it led her. Not a single person was to be found, she had this paradise to herself and was going to enjoy it. Taking her time to tour around the grove was peaceful, knowing that she was by herself gave her a few ideas on what to do next.
Serenity swore that she traveled a few kilometers to get here. She was very confident that nobody would ever disturb her.
