Your friend is about to. propose to his girlfriend. He entrusts you with his grandmothers engagement ring that was past down from generations to generations. The ring is worth thousands of dollars. You suddenly don't want to get go of all the money that the ring is worth. When the time comes for the friend to propose, you have already sold the ring. You lie and tell him that you lost it.
