"It's okay," you state. No point in making a fuss over a legitimate concern, you think. You can't help feeling a little irritated at his initial distrust, though.
"So...what are you doing here?" the man asks in confusion.
"Just wanted to take a look around my new school," you reply, making sure to emphasize 'just'.
"Um...to make up for my rudeness just now, how about I give you a tour?" he immediately responds, guilt evident in his voice.
