You turn and run, but your bound hands make it hard to keep your balance. You stumble, but a large hand catches you. For a moment your heart leaps-- it must be Billy, come to save you!-- but when you look up, it's not him at all. The man who caught you has a feathered hat on his head and a cutlass on his belt. Two pistols are strapped across his chest. He has unkempt, shoulder-length brown hair and a scruff of a beard on his chin, surrounded by prickly five-o-clock shadow. He doesn't let go, but his eyes are kind. His coat and shirt are unbuttoned to reveal thick curls of dark chest hair. You swallow...
