Zelda moved to Avery, leaving Lulu and her clothes behind. She knelt down and took Avery's hands, slowly bringing her up. Avery looked at Zelda's near toplessness and gasped. "Oh no! Were we taking our tops off? I don't really want to..."
"No." Zelda said in a hushed tone, and then realized her voice was still playing for the crowd. They could not hear Avery's question, but still, Zelda had to keep herself mute.
Avery looked to Ali, still fully clothed, then Selena, who was dressed more akin to Zelda. She looked to Lulu, who was normally dressed, and then confused back to Zelda. "I really don't know what's going on, though. Is it just you and Selena then? That leaves us out." Avery then ran to Lulu and unzipped the back of the dress. Lulu gasped and held it closed while Selena laughed. Avery began to make her way to Ali, all the while undoing the ties on the back of her shirt. The crowd began to cheer again, but for a different reason.
Lulu continued to struggle to zip the dress back up, but could not quite reach the zipper. The dress stayed on due to the straps, but now was rather loose up top. Selena continued to jeer by the drums as Avery let the shirt fall, her top half now only dressed with the tube top. As she made her way to Ali, the bassist kicked Avery back and shot a glare to Selena, who only shrugged and began the third song.
Beginning the next song without a keyboardist was not an issue, and Avery was crawling her way back to the piano as the song went on. As she stood up to it, her pants sat half way down her butt to expose her panties, but she still did not seem to notice.
Lulu and Zelda began their dance a little into the song, dropping the guitar while Avery returned to serenading them on the keyboard. Despite the lack of shirt, Zelda did not have many issues to deal with aside from exposing her stomach and back to the crowd. Lulu, however, constantly felt her straps slipping off her shoulders. She had no bra, and her bare back would show when she turned away - hardly an issue, but still alarming at how easily things were falling off her. She ended up having to do a sort of bow, which she cut a bit short. The straps made their way up her arms slightly, which caused the front of the dress to fall down her top. Instead of letting the dress fall forward, she immediately brought her arms back to cover her chest, which in turn left the dress hanging at her elbows and stomach, her breasts only covered by her hands. The crowd cheered more as Lulu backed away in fear. Zelda moved in front of her and felt Lulu pressed against her back. The two backed away as the song came to a clumsy finish, with the crowd thinking this more a comedy act than a real metal routine. As Lulu moved back a bit further, she tripped. Her arms grabbed for Zelda, but only managed to take Zelda's belt and shorts down with her. Zelda fell forward, dressed in her stockings, bra, and panties. Behind them, Selena cheered on harder. The song ended, and Zelda and Lulu ran backstage. Stage hands proceeded to fix the stage up, and Selena joined them.
"That was amazing!" She laughed.
"That was HORRIBLE." Lulu said, her hands holding Zelda's shorts and belt to her chest for cover. "Zelda I am so sorry."
Zelda stood in aghast behind the curtain. She had to focus, though, and shook her head. "Selena, go get Avery. She'll need to change like us."
Selena shrugged and brought Avery with them, leaving Ali alone. Ali, never saying anything, just proceeded to play a few practice riffs while the audience continued to whoop and holler.
The four made their way to the tents, but saw their own tent had been taken over. "What?" Selena demanded, seeing the next band had taken its place. Of course they had - no one had planned a costume change. Their clothes had been moved back to their car area, which was too far.
"What do we do?" Lulu said, backstage again. The zipper of her dress was actually broken by Avery.
"Fuck it, let's just go out like we are." Selena suggested. "I mean you have your pants still, Zelda, and we can hold back on dancing for you, Lulu."
Lulu slowly handed Zelda the shorts back and kept her chest covered. They were alone behind the curtain, but she was still modest in front of the three. Zelda saw the shorts' fly was broken open.
"I think they took our other clothes." Avery said. "Those stage people."
She was right. Not wanting more tripping to cause insurance issues, they saw their other clothes were off stage.
"I've got a million safety pins for Lulu's dress and those shorts." Selena suggested. "And for any ideas you might have."
"What about your pants?" Lulu asked.
"Like I need pants!" Selena laughed.
Consolidating the clothes was also possible. Avery could give her tube top to Lulu for help with dancing, and then wear Zelda's belt as a top. Alternatively, Avery could be left as is, as wearing only a belt on top might spill trouble for how she acts, and instead use the fishnet stockings for Lulu's extra top support. Double layered they would not be as see through.
