It takes many days, but Gandalf eventually catches up with Aragorn and the hobbits - and just in time. They are under attack at Weathertop, and the Witch King is bearing down on a terrified Frodo. Just before he strikes, Gandalf calls out the name he was known by when he was a man. The lead Ringwraith turns and taunts Gandalf, stating "no man can kill me." Gandalf responds, "I am no man." and then slashes Glamdring between the cloaked figure's shoulder's and head. The Witch King is defeated (quite early in the war), and the other Ringwraiths flee. Frodo is safe and sound, and the party can continue on to Rivendell.

Because Frodo does not need any time to heal, Gandalf and Elrond start discussing plans immediately. The invited members to the council, including dwarves and men, have not yet arrived - but Gandalf decides to make a decision without them.

Decision

What should Gandalf do?

• Approach the eagles (use existing branch - from Gray Havens)

• All-elven SWAT team to Isengard (use existing branch)

• Elrond wears the ring (re-use ending)

• NEW/UNIQUE
