D&D: You walk into the alley and enter the sewer

You walk behind the shop and reach the heavy wooden door leading down the sewer. It is locked with a heavy iron lock. As soon as you make sure no one is around, you use your magic to undo the lock, letting falls limp on the ground. You try to open the door but it is too heavy. You wave your wand and the heavy wood start raising itself high enough that you let it falls to the side, leaving the entrance open. You speak a word and the tip of your wand starts to glow white dimly and you enter the dark sewer, ready for anything.

You start roaming the dark and creepy abandoned tunnels until you reach a crossroad with a barrel. The candle on it is still hot and it looks like food is there as well. Not so abandoned after all. Before you can push your investigation. That's when you start hearing small footstep. You quickly word your magic wand off and hide behind the wall. The footstep are getting closer and you hear a yelping sound and someone with a low voice talking to himself. :"Guard the tunnel. Gnyah ! always have to guard the tunnel. Gnyah"

D&D: You turn the corner and blast the creature with a stun bolt

D&D: You don't take any chances and you blast it with a scorching ray

D&D: You try to hide longer in order to see what manners of creature this is
