Dax had sufficient knowledge to understand Julian's findings in the reports by herself. Julian drew connections between events and visitors coming to the station which, at first glance, seemed far-fetched or had no apparent link. Nevertheless, the results of his investigation were vague and was without any concrete evidence.
The most interesting thing she found was a note on the Shataz Negbur, a research vessel that had visited DS9 a few weeks ago. Dax read the report on it and found nothing remarkable except for the fact that Julian obviously made clerical errors in his text. But did he intend to make these mistakes?
"Computer, there is a character in this sentence outside of any context. Please explain this error"
"There is no error. The character is a link to a locked record."
"Show me the record"
"The link is blocked. Authorization required"
Jadzia thought about it. Why would Julian hide data about an important security-related investigation? She tried some code words without success. What should she do now? Although she knows Julian, this secrecy is very strange.
She could, of course, now try to bypass the security prompt, or she could ask Julian directly:
