Into the Wild… Blue… Wonder…?

You pick up the bauble and, ignoring the bland metallic taste, head out at a speedy trot into the forest.
You pass trees and bushes and even more trees (at one point you even hop over a stray, winding river); it’s a nice change of pace when the scenery turns mountain-y. You absent mindedly dash from rock to rock until you stand at a peak. You look down, mesmerized at the sight.
Before you lies the ocean, as far as your eyes can see. Winds from the water blow past you, and you lift your head to it; you mane blowing in the wind.
You race forwards, picking a path through the outcroppings and boulders on this side of the mountain. You spy an outwards facing rock and put it in your sights.
You speed up and launch yourself off of the long boulder and soar through the air. The ocean spreads out below you. You brace yourself to land on the water’s surface as gravity takes hold.
Or, perhaps… not.
Instead of landing smoothly on top, you splash right through into the salty water. You take a moment, surprised, to get your bearings. At least it didn’t hurt when you burst into the water at that speed.
Good thing no one saw that.
You start paddling and find yourself zooming through the water. Eventually, you end up meeting schools of Goldeen and Tentacool, who eye your passing with passive interest.
You figure that you must have launched yourself from too high up to land safely on the surface, so the power that allows you to walk on water must have not activated itself.
Alright, then.
After some time of traveling, you swim up to the surface and spy a large mountain-island in your path. As you near, you can tell that it’s actually a volcano.
