"I agree with Kurt," you intervene. "Those people are not fanatics, some of them even looked scared to death, so I don't think they plan to detonate their warpstone while they're still in the vicinity. But a man with nothing to lose is capable of anything. We should wait until the barrels have been put into place before retrieving them, even if we have to let the criminals escape us. We'll deal with them later."
Captain Valerio seems reluctant to wait. "We don't know what else they're planning," he argues. "Maybe the warpstone is just one part of the scheme. Your solution sounds sensible, but I don't like the idea of letting them go when we don't know their whole plan. Personally I would close the port, round up everyone who openly supports von Carstein and warn the Pirate Princess about the matter. This said, I've never had to deal with something like this before. What would you do if you were me?"
