As soon as you step away, Ashley throws open the door behind her. She screams for her mom at the top of her lungs. You chase out of the room after her, hoping to convince her you meant no harm.

"Ashley! Wait!" You yell, as she flys down the stairs.

Evedently your parents aren't home, while your father normally leaves befor you get up, it is unusual that your step mother isn't home.
