You find your way to a stairwell, and make your way to ground level. Once there, you peek out the front doorway to find the great striding machine has gone. You remember the men who tried to escape, and look at the building across the street. It's just as beat up as the one you're in, but it might have people in it. Then, you spot a subway entrance down the street. That could keep you safe. The machines barely ever travel underground.
