Almut crosses her arms as she straightens back up. "Your no fun anymore." she said before opening the two decorated double doors and entered the room. You quickly followed her in as the heralds announced our entry over the trumpets call.

"You'd think that they would get new pieces." You whisper to your sister as you walk with her to your seats, yours on the left hand side of your father's seat and Almut's to your left. As you take another look out at the crowd gathered for the ceremony you recognize several familiar faces you haven't seen since you've last been to the palace. Seated across from you is your old friend Cennal Breis, a fellow member of your regiment who was reassigned to southern boarder, Letise Tailech, the daughter of your fathers most trusted advisor, Horas Tailech, and a skilled bureaucrat in her own right is seated next to him, and finally seated at a table separate from yours are an old childhood friend of yours and his wife, Seith, and Awen Flint.

You take your seat next to where your father seat and to the right of your sister who is still standing in her armor, as part of the royal guard its her duty to remain on guard during the events until all the events guests have arrived and been seated. Waiting for the ceremony to start to strike up a conversation with Cennal.

"How're your solders down in the south?" you ask knowing however bad the conditions are where you are that they are twice as bad in the south.

Cennal frowns, "its getting worse, the Everechi keep getting bolder and bolder," he says rubbing his forehead "Captain Weirden says we might need to reinforce the southern border, that's one of the reasons I'm here," he adds looking straight at you, "I just spoke to the king and he agreed to send couple of units of Archers from your fortress under your command.

You stare in shock, sure you hated your current assignment and constantly complained about it but surely you father wouldn't send you to the Everechi border, with their awkward military formations, barbaric culture and tea that tastes ass if it were sugar infused mud. You shiver at the thought.

"at least your finally able to get away from that draft muddy fortress you've been cooped up in for the last three years." Letise interjected.

You glare at her preparing to retort but before you can open your mouth your interrupted by the heralds announcing the entrance of the king.

As the entire collection of the attendees stand up and wait for the king to take his seat you see your brother take his seat to the right of the king while his fiancé, Edilda takes the seat next to him before the ceremony begins.
