Surely dad will know what's going on. You decide to call him.
He picks up. "Hey Joe, whaddya know?" Dear god. Every time.
"Hi, dad. Well, I don't know where everyone is, do you have any idea?" You ask.
"Well Mel's at Stacy's, of course, Noah and Riley are over at their friend Jake's. I think you're at home. Are you at home?"
"Yes, dad, I'm at home."
"The president might be in the white house. Fidel Castro is hopefully still in Cuba. Last time I saw Hitler he was in a ditch, covered in gasoline, on fire. Oh, and your mother and I are driving to a restaurant." He says.
"Driving currently? Should you be on the phone?" You ask.
"Son, I used to drive while I was so drunk I could barely stand. Talking on the phone is nothing." He says. "Your mother wants to know if you've eaten."
"I'm making a sandwich as we speak." You say, and quickly start making a sandwich.
"Making a sandwich currently? Should you be on the phone?" He jokes. You don't respond. "So was that all you wanted? Anything else you want to talk about?"
