You were open with everybody about how you felt from the beginning. Everyone knew, but they refused to understand. To acknowledge that you were a man. They didn't try, and sometimes made it a point to refer to you as a girl.
You count yourself lucky that your appearance is at least androgynous and your chest is fairly flat, but none of that helps if nobody acknowledges your gender.
The only option you can see is to leave.
But what do you do?
