You find a small crystal sphere at your feet. You pick it up and chuck it at the bottle. It and the bottle both shatter. The yellow liquid spills onto the desk and floor. It dissolves the carpet on the floor that it touched and makes a hole through the wooden desk.
You realise it's acid!
