As you near shore, you can sense a number of beings ahead of you; paddling about the water. You give the swimmers a wide birth, climbing up on shore at a disserted spot, with none but the wild Pokemon seeing you. You venture into the surrounding forest.
A trio of Growlithe approach.
“Greetings, Serene One.” One says.
You open your mouth to thank him and find something very out of place.
The metal… thing… is no longer in your mouth.
Alarmed, you look around in a desperate attempt to see if you dropped it when you climbed onto the island. To the surprise of your welcoming committee, you turn about and retrace your steps back to the beach.
Nothing.
Could it have been jerked away when I hit the water before? You figure, ignoring the questioning glances and shuffling of the Growlithe. Lost in your musings, you don’t notice when they slowly vanish back into the trees.
Knowing the currents of the ocean and just how big it is, you find it extremely doubtful that you’d find it again if you’d dropped it in the water.
Forlorn, you look back up at the mountain.
