Duran's eyes go wide and he looks at you in surprise, or more like utter shock, at the statement that goes completely against your normal playfull behaviour. As he recovers, he gives you an understanding smile. "I see, so we're two of a kind after all huh? No you may actually be a bit more.. hmm, nevermind" he smirks. "Well then lass, we'll be meeting your wealthy spouse in the capital city. Its only a few hours from here, so if we depart now, we can make it there before sunset."

"Allright then, what are we waiting for?" You say, back to your normal, light-hearted self as you prepare to leave.

"One more thing lass. We're only supposed to escort you into the city and drop you off at his merchant quarter. But All of the guards, as well as some of the servants, volunteered to remain in your service. So if you'll have us, we'll be there fer ya."

You look at him surprised "you're staying with me as well?"

"Aye, I'm one of the guards aren't I?" he says lightly.

"But- you've been in the dad's service for over 20 years and are a personal friend of his, hell, you probably know him alot better than even I do. Will he even be able to get by without you?

Duran laughs out loud "I appreciate how much importance ye think I have lass, but yer father is a capable king, picked 'im as my lord fer a reason. He'll do just fine, sides, I allready talked about it with him, and he agreed to let me follow you if I so wished. the rascal actually seemed overjoyed about it." He snickers for a while, then leaves to gather the rest of your escort.
