You jump into what clothes you could grab and run like a madman outside without even telling your dad and truck it all the way out past lowtown, you see that the Transport had left the hangar and kept you behind. You can try to travel to the Scavenge Lands on foot, but that would take an hour only leaving you with another six to find whatever he can for work, or you can try to hitch a ride to the Lands.
