Megan:Vanessa's House
From Create Your Own Story
Revision as of 20:21, 3 April 2011
Closing your laptop, you take one last look at yourself in the mirror. You've always thought you were too skinny. You were never one to buy expensive clothes, either. Why bother if nobody'd look at you anyways? A simple pair of jeans and a t-shirt is good enough for someone as unimportant as you. You brush a strand of your mid-length brown hair from your eye, and frown. So plain. Hell, you're flat as a board, too. Compared to Vanessa, with her perfect weight, designer clothes, long golden hair, and eye-catching proportions, you're absolutely nothing. Good. That'll make it even better for her to go by your hand.
As you descend your staircase, you look around the empty living room. Your parents are off doing something, who knows what? They never tell you. You step outside and close the front door behind you, feeling not even the slightest twinge of regret for what you are about to do. April's light rain falls and the sky rumbles. There's a storm coming, you think to yourself as you walk a few houses down. Let's hope it's a good one. After all, who wants to go out in a weak little whimper? Nobody, so who wants to go out in a weak-ass storm?
Smiling, you ring Vanessa's doorbell. Within a minute, she's opening the door and smiling as well.
"Megan! I was wondering if you'd take your time getting here. Come on, we've got some work to do if we're to finish this project in time."
She steps aside and allows you to enter. From the kitchen, you can hear the radio. She's tuned to the local alternative station, and the host has just introduced "The Kill" by Thirty Seconds To Mars. The coincidence in this makes you laugh to yourself, and you follow Vanessa into the kitchen. On the counter is a variety of things all laid out, including a box of cake mix, some eggs, a bottle of vegetable oil, all the necessary things. She walks back to the mixing bowl, picking it up and pouring the contents into a rounded metal pan. As she does so, you notice the plastic grocery bag the things came in. Vanessa has left it, empty, on the counter. She begins to sing with the song and thoughts of "Now is your only chance, Megan. Do it. Do it. Doitdoitdoitdoitmegandoitdoit." rush through your head. The bag is so close, and you could easily end her within a few seconds if you wanted to...
