You chicken out and choose to sit in the front of the bus, next to the bus driver's three-year-old daughter.
She immediately pukes on your new Hollister sweatshirt. Everyone on the bus laughs!
You have to endure the puke smell until you get to school, where you immediately run to the nearest bathroom. After scrubbing at your sweatshirt for hours, the bright red/orange stain has been reduced to a pale yellow.
The bell rings. You're about to leave when Amy Sweeney walks in.
"H...hi..." you mutter.
"I'm ditching," Amy says as she runs her fingers through her coarse, brown hair. You try not to stare too hard at her chest under her Cradle of Filth T-shirt.
"So... you wanna ditch with me or not?" Amy says.
You're a perfect straight-A student, with perfect attendance. Ditching school would mean you would be marked absent, which would go on your permanent record, so forget about getting into Yale or Harvard! However, if you decide not to ditch, Amy will always think of you as a goody-two-shoes loser. All these thoughts are running through your mind at once.
