You can't fight all the guards at once, but you require better weaponry, so you must run for it. You try to escape, but you can't go through the tunnel very easily, but before you have the chance to fully escape, the guards storm in, and see you attempting to escape. So they fucking blast you away. You scream with agony and slide down. Your head makes a big thump. Then you don't feel anything else. Maybe, you are dead.
