'Fine,' you say. 'But for that kind of job it'll cost you twenty per day plus expenses and a hundred for a retainer with the promise of a further two-fifty if I complete the job. If I'm going up against tough guys I'm not going to sell myself cheap.'

The blonde smiles. 'You know, you might just do. Obviously I need you to do it without Marty getting to suspicious, and I need it done quickly. The rest is up to you.'

You shake her hand over the deal as she hands you the money. 'Good luck Mr. Horne,' she says. 'I have a feeling you'll need it.'
