You yank on a pair of jeans and snatch up a t-shirt. Your in such a rush you don't even bother grabbing a pair of boxers. Pulling on some socks and, with more blind luck than planning, you manage to find your boots and leather jacket. Grabbing your wallet, keys and phone from the hall table you run out of the house and down the street.

You arrive at the bus stop a few seconds before the next bus is due and you catch your breath. Good job your reasonably in shape or you'd have never made it on time. You fire off a text to John saying you are on your way and you hit send as the bus pulls up. The trip only takes ten minutes, if that, and you step off the bus ready to sprint down this street to try to get to the bar on time. But you don't. Because the whole street is closed off. You had forgotten that they had started some major renovations in this part of town and there is no way past. You'll have to go down the small alley over there and then go across the narrow side streets. It'll take another minute or so to go that way but if you hurry you'll arrive on time.

The other reason you don't immediately rush away is that the sun is out and it means most of the workmen in the street are now shirtless.
