You hardly have to bend over to scratch the wolfhound's head. It stops growling and thumps its tail against the floor in appreciation of a good scratching. You feel your apprehension evaporating... and then the wolfhound shimmers and changes. Its paws change into hands and feet and it stands up, no longer a hound, but a fur-covered woman with glowing yellow eyes.
You take a careful step back.
"Still want to pet me?" the werewolf asks.
