You turn on your heel and run like a rabbit, heart pounding. The frantic call for help in your head turns to a furious screech. "Coward! Animal! You deny aid to Sevrina of Rhile! I curse you! ''I curse you!!'''' 

The voice grows fainter but so does the sound of your feet racing through the brush. You seem to trip over something and fall, but you never hit the damp ground. Everything around you turns black, and terror tightens your chest so that you can hardly pull air into your lungs. You suddenly become aware of a searing pain in your left leg - it's caught in something, and won't come free. You sense something approaching - something slow and deadly, something that you somehow know wants to eat you. You yank and pull at your leg in the dark, but it is stuck fast. You look down, and in horror see that what was once your leg is now brown, short, and furry, caught in the half-moon shaped jaws of a rabbit trap. Fear overwhelms you as you hear with your new long and powerful ears the thudding footsteps of a creature a hundred times your size coming nearer. Running in fear like a rabbit, you've been cursed with a rabbit's fate.
