There's only one thing for it. Talking care to keep most of your body concealed, you carefully pick up the dart and make it into a throwing position.
Slowly, you aim the dart at where you presume the machine is, with only the smallest fraction of your hand showing. This will be a blind throw as you cannot risk looking.
