"Yup, Elizabeth's my girl, any idea when she'll be around?" you say. "Yeah, her shift starts any minute now," says Rose, "You can stick around until then, I'm sure she'll be happy to see you, it's been a really slow day as you can see." At that second you hear the library door open and watch as Elizabeth step inside, a shocked look on her face from seeing you. "Roy!" she says happily running over to you and giving you a hug, "What a nice surprise!"
You look back to where Rose was standing, but as you do you notice she's disappeared. Only you and Elizabeth remain in the area. Your head is filled with all sorts of questions and fear clenches you in its grasp. Something strange was going on, that much was clear.
