Your two large bacteria float to the left, into shallower water, greater sunlight penetration, and a more diverse habitat. Food is readily available, and the species reproduces. However, a rock plunges unexpectedly into the pool, and the rapid change in water pressure kills one of your blobs.

What's the plan?
