You jump off of it and land about a foot and a half away. It just darts right back under you. You try it again, this time jumping twice, first to your left, then jumping forward. The spot continues to follow you, and remains directly beneath you. The chilly floor under your feet causes you to shiver.

This isn't going to work. You'll have to try something else.

• Run to the other side of the room, hoping it can't keep up.
• Jump to the couch to get off the floor.
