"Ew! No! God, Julia, I'm sorry but I'm not interested in you like that."

She looks shocked.

"God, I should have told you sooner, but I'm... I'm gay, honey."

"Oh my God, Sammy! Why didn't you tell me sooner?" she says with surprise. "I mean, oh my god, I'm totally happy for you and so embarrassed. I had no idea."

"It's OK. It's not like I advertise it."

You both have a chuckle together, exchange a few more pleasantries, and then she heads off to bed.
