Heroically attack the gunman

You attempt to heroically attack the intruder and knock his gun away. It doesn't work, however, since he is far stronger and faster than you. He simply catches your arm in midair, then punches you in the face. You crumple to the floor, semiconscious.
"I'm going to beat you to death with this so no one hears a shot," he sneers down at you. He does just that, repeatedly smashing the butt of the pistol into your head until your brains are splattered all over the carpet.
