Curious, you agree to meet with this mysterious individual. You and your bodyguard are quickly ushered into a limousine which promptly takes off, heading to your unknown location.

You arrive at a tall skyscraper overlooking Central Park and are escorted up to a penthouse near the top floor. Even you, raised as you were in decadence and wealth, are astonished at the opulence of the place. You are escorted into a living room filled with expensive looking paintings and elaborate statues. There you meet a distinguished looking older gentlemen who introduces himself as Elijah Stone, though he insists that you call him Eli. The introduction is superfluous however as you are well aware who Eli Stone, industrialist, philanthropist, one of the wealthiest people in the world, and who is said to have the ear of the President of the United States.

Sitting down Mr. Stone tells you, his voice twanging with a mid-western accent, that he hopes to see the world free from tyranny in all it’s forms one day, and that he advocates for strong democracy, open societies, and free markets the world over. He says that he hates Blanca and his regime, and that he’s ashamed that the free world has done nothing to help you or your people. He then reveals that he has been devising a plan to overthrow Blanca and, if you’d agree to help him, install you back on the throne of Barataria.

Stone says that he’s been in contact with elements within the Blanca regime that are unhappy with the way things are being run. They, after a few generous bribes from the Stone Foundation, Mr. Stone’s philanthropic institution, appear to be more than willing to help get rid of Blanca, and have already begun positioning themselves to be ready for a coup. An internal coup would mean that bloodshed in the streets would be kept to a minimum, but the loyalty of the remnants of the old Blanca regime would be questionable at best, and would likely be difficult to remove.

In exchange, when your new government is installed, you will agree to certain economically liberal policies, like a floating exchange rates, low taxes, and private ownership of most of Barataria’s natural resources. Stone also requires that he be allowed pick, in secret, the Finance Minister in any future cabinets rather than the Prime Minister. In addition, any elements of the old regime that aided in overthrowing Blanca would have to receive an unconditional pardon and be allowed to participate in any future governments.

After he is finished laying out the deal, you shake hands with Mr. Stone, telling him that you appreciate his support and will consider his offer
