I left the warburg castle with katelyn in the night. Soon we were on the grounds of the kohln manor.
Kohlns were traditional bankers who controlled most money and land in warburg. They were richer than the warburgs and it showed.
Kohlns were the masters of money while the warburgs were the traditional feudal lords who had the loyalty of the standing army.
katelyn gently grabbed my hand and gingerly entered the manor. She was that pretend self again with the dominatrix locked away.
Adolf met me courtiously and commanded katelyn to leave us. I protested to which he replied "whats a womens job in politics" she left without a word.
is it possible i knew her daughter more than her own father?
Adolf continued " i explicitly told her to bring you here whenever opportunity presented itself and there was plenty of that. Yet so much delay. Anyway i hope you know why your here"
"To ask for katelyns hand in marriage."
"No. Your here cause you want the throne. IM here cause i need to be attached to the next count of warburg" i murmer "and katelyn isnt here cause shes too smart for both of us."

"Firstly i agree to a normal marriage but you will change your family name to warburg-kohln. Change followed in all official signias. The countys name and title should change too."
"Secondly katelyn will be my heir apparent and your children will inherit all our wealth but my family will retain title of council lord for life and that of royal treasurers"

After interjecting i speak "so you are as desperate as me for this alliance. Wilhems succession will lead to a civil war with you and even if you win the duke of bohemia will not be pleased. Either me or wilhem or isabel will be reinstalled to the throne by the duke and your family wiped out."
"If you want equal status with royalty you must also change your name to warburg-kohln and all offices and title will flow to anyone in the entire combined family."
