Entering the Desolation

Everyone stiffens as you start towards the open door.
Just as you're about to enter, you hear Nicki say quickly, "Wait, Th-thea! What are you doing?"
"Going through the door," you reply smoothly.
"It could be a trap!" Adam pointed out.
You shrug and turn back to the open door. The meadow inside is bright green and the sun is shining down brightly against a sweet blue sky with soft-looking fluffy clouds. The scent smells like fresh flowers, and you can see in the middle of the hills there are beautifully colored flowers. It looks very peaceful, but you know deep inside of you that you can't trust it.
"We have no other choice, we might as well comply," you said.
Before anyone else can object, you step into the door. The grass feels very real, and a wind brushes your hair back slightly. You shiver and soon realize that your nightgown is gone. Now you wear a dark green tank top and black jeans. A backpack with one sleeve hangs diagonally down your chest and back. On your hands you wear black climbing gloves with the ends cut off. To top it off you wear brown hiking boots.
You turn around, but you're startled to see that the doorway is gone. Behind you is another stretch of rolling plains.
You see that you can choose to go to the meadow, or go behind you and follow the plain.
