Katie was finally graduating! After all the embarrassment and humiliation she'd suffered for the past couple years, she was ready to put that all behind her. She was going to college, which meant a new school, and, she hoped, new friends! She read over her valedictory speech, which she'd rehearsed with Samantha as well as Aunt Jill. Both had become her most influential parties within the past couple years, mostly because she felt she had to obey them. Both more or less had blackmailed her into making sure no one else helped her, or even knew what she was going to say.
