Tom smiled at Alison. "I like movies," he told her. "Do you like the classics?"

"Classics?" Alison said, confused.

"Yeah," Tom grinned. "Classics. Movies that were made 30, 40, 50 years ago."

"I... have never seen a movie made from that long ago," Alison replied.

"Yet another thing to introduce you to," Tom laughed. "Just give me a few minutes for setup."

15 minutes later, a large TV was in the cellar and Tom had hooked up an old-fashioned VCR. He produced an actual video tape and popped it in. Then he settled himself next to the bound Alison on the bed, wrapping his arm tenderly around her as if they were on a date.

When the title of the movie came up, Alison blinked in surprise. "The name of this movie is The Mouse That Roared? And who's Peter Sellers?"

"Oh, sweetie," Tom murmured. "I simply have to repair your cultural education. Peter Sellers is one of the greatest comic actors of all time. Now let's watch."

After the movie, Tom kissed Alison's cheek gently. "What say you, love?"

Alison giggled. "I liked it."

"It has a sequel, you know," Tom informed her. "The Mouse on the Moon, or we could watch another Peter Sellers movie that's more darkly humorous, Dr. Strangelove, next time if you'd prefer."

Alison paused. "I'll think that one over."

The next day, after Tom had attended to all her physical needs, he gave Alison a kindly smile. "Go ahead and pick."
