Marla enthusiastically accepts your wedding proposal. The ring you bought her cost more than most people's car. She signs a prenuptial agreement which will leave her penniless if you ever divorce her.
The wedding is small, only a few close family members and friends. Her drunken asshole ex boyfriend shows up at the wedding reception pointing a gun at you. You take a moment to shift into him, and blow his brains across the room, then return to Ethan's body.
He shouldn't be a problem anymore, unless he becomes a demonic spirit like you...
