You call Tina after your release and tell her you can't go back to England. She cries, but says she has found a new man and the kids are doing good. You are happy and hurt but know that you have made the right decision. You have a little bit of money and get an apartment in Los Angeles. You start the job hunt, but with a criminal record it is incredibly difficult to even get an interview. You run into an ex-coworker from your old company and they tell you they started there own business. They offer you a job and you are in disbelief but gladly accept. Soon, you are making a decent salary and your wounds are healing. You start to not look like a crack head and things begin to turn around. One of your co-workers invites you to a birthday party and you meet Denise. She is your age, 42, and is divorced as well but has custody of her daughter. You begin to date and a year later are married again. You chat and send letters to your kids in England every week and visit them several times a year. Tina got remarried as well and has a new baby on the way. You and Denise don't plan on having any kids, but you are thinking about adopting a foster child. There is still a lot to consider at this point.

At 67, you and Denise are still married and her daughter has grown and had two kids. You adopted a 10 year old named Earl and he is now 28 about to get married. The business your coworker hired you at grew and is now a very successful world renowned company. You got a nice retirement and don't need to worry about money anymore. Things turned out alright, and you died at 70 years old of a heart attack.
