He is surprised at your answer. "Why not? It's not every day a vampire hunter gets a break, you know."
"I truly am sorry, sir, but my duty as a hunter can never rest for things like leisure activities. I must decline," you say.
"Very well then. You may proceed with your duties, but if you ever find yourself wanting that vacation all you need to do is tell me." You nod and he sends you away.
You are escorted back to your home that you were given as soon as you became a rookie. It's overall appearance is normal, much like an ordinary one-bedroom apartment, but what really made it a vampire hunters dwelling was what you'd find if you looked hard enough. In the kitchenette under the marble counter was a small button that blended in with the rest of the counter. When pushed, it sealed of the kitchen with an unbreakable see through wall and unleashed a gas that would black you out faster than a bat upside the head. In the bedroom there was the lamp. The lamp on the nightstand was connected to and alarm system and when you burst the light bulb the alarm went off. You start to remember one day when you were little and the alarm had went off. You and the rest of the trainees were sent off into a shielded room in case it was a major threat. You don't know what happened back then, neither does any of the others, and no one was aloud to tell you so eventually you stopped asking and almost completely forgot about it. It wasn't really important now. There were numerous defense mechanisms in the house. Some you would need and use, others probably needless.
Ready for your work, you head over to your mailbox and open your assignment folder and find only one paper. You pull it out and read it says...
