Sylvester McMonkey McBean left the town all a mess

Everyone's wallets now contain much much less.

The chaos of this effort to become one another,

Everyone can now see is not quite worth the bother.

All over the beaches everyone can see,

A new way to work together, simply as you and me.

Across lines of difference Sneetches now reach,

To see through the lies in that old McBean's speech.

To be like each other is not really the answer,

But instead leads to jealousy that spreads like a cancer.

For you and for me,

They planted a tree,

A new place to sit,

to play, laugh, talk or nit.

Improving conditions for Sneetches all around,

Through McBean's selfish deception a new lesson has been found.
